  • How Do I Join The Dolfin Academy?

    Swimmers who wish to join Junior Academy are recommended to the program through the Swimm with Timm Lesson program, Danvers YMCA Lessons, or through Swim Assessments offered 3 times a year.

    Swimmers are sent recommendations to progress from Junior Academy to Academy White to Academy Red.

  • How Do I Progress Through The Dolfin Academy?

    Junior Academy 1: 5+ years old - Attends practice 4 times a month.

    Junior Academy 2: 5+ years old - Attends practice 8 times a month.

    Academy White: 6-12 years old - USA Swimming Registered. Attend at least one Gordon Dive practice a month. Has group equipment. Has practice swimsuit, goggles, and cap if needed. Must attend at least 1-2 meets per season. Can swim 50 Free, 50 Back, and 50 kick on back. Attends practice 2+ days a week.

    Academy Red: 9 -13 years old - USA Swimming Registered. Attends a minimum of 2 Gordon Dive practices a month. Has group equipment. Attends at least 3-4 meets per season. Attends practice 3+ days a week.

  • What Does it Cost to Be a USA/YMCA Swimmer?

    Premium USA Swimming Membership: Yearly Fee - $95

    Dolfin Academy Registration: Yearly Fee - $100

    Group Equipment: Depends on the training group

    DYD Dolfin Academy Monthly Fee: Depends on the training group

    Danvers YMCA Youth Membership: Monthly Fee- $18
