The Parent Pod brings Dolfins parents and guardians together to support the team, coordinate volunteers, and create meaningful experiences for swimmers and families throughout the season.

There’s no required level of participation. Parents and guardians are encouraged to contribute in ways that match their interests, availability, and skills.

HOW THE PARENT POD IS ORGANIZED

The Parent Pod Leadership Team helps coordinate community-building efforts and organize activities throughout the swim season.

COMMUNICATION & MEETINGS

  • Help facilitate Parent Pod meetings

  • Share event and volunteer information

  • Gather family feedback and suggestions

EVENT PLANNING

  • Plan 1–2 social events per season

  • Keep events inclusive and accessible

  • Create opportunities for more families to participate

  • Offer a mix of price points, including low- or no-cost options

MEET VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

  • Support all Dolfins-hosted home meets

  • Coordinate timers

  • Help with concessions

  • Support coaches/officials hospitality

  • Assist with other meet-day needs

PLANNING A
PARENT POD EVENT?

  • All events must:

  • Be reviewed and approved by Head Coach Tom Phillips before reservations, contracts, or public announcements

  • Be family-friendly

  • Align with the values and mission of the Dolfins

  • Be held somewhere other than a private residence

  • Be accessible and convenient for as many families as possible
